Design Concept Green Sustainable House:
I am currently doing the training / study package for my LEED certification and decided to create a Green Home Plan with the emphasis on sustainability. The design/ layout concept is close to complete and I am now in the research phase looking at and making decisions on the materials and various packages that will become the specifications for this project.
Basic Design Goals:
To design a simple to build low waste certifiable Green Sustainable House with an emphasis on sustainable and alternate energy methods. You can see some of the3D images of the design to date: Gallery 1

Exterior Finish: Hardi Plank Lap Siding and Trim Primed

Walls – R-25 (Recycled Cotton Fiber Bats or No VAC Blown in Foam)
Ceiling /Roof R-40 Recycled Cotton Fiber Bats or No VAC Blown in Foam)
Floor – R-13
Interior Finish:
Walls – 1/2 Drywall Sanded and Finished
Trim – Alternate Products Used
